

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Ethel Bryan, 92, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Ethel was a retired LPN and she was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary J. McBride; husbands, Joe Edgar Sheffield, Howard Young, and Roland Bryan; parents Francis Allen and John Ramsey; sisters, Gladys Jackson, Claudia Martin and Francis Willis; and brothers, Denmon and Edward Dawson, Floyd Jr. and Robert Ramsey.
She is survived by her son, Ricky (Tresa) Sheffield; stepchildren, Becky, Julia, and Glenn (Susan) Bryan; granddaughters, Kelly Cavett, Kristi Childress, Tanya Sprinkles, and Tonya; grandson, Jeff (Susanne) Honeycutt, John (Lindsey) Sheffield, Brian (Jamie) Sims, Nathan and Kyle Bryan and Andy; 11 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Carol Gladden and her staff for mother’s excellent care; the ladies from Holly Park Apartments for their loving kindness; her best friends, Margie Camp, Mae Mayben, Pricilla Keith, Barbara Autwell and Margaret Estes; and Dr. Wilborn and staff.
