Eunice Bobo McKenzie

Eunice Bobo McKenzie, 88, passed away Friday 5-17-2013. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Harbison will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. McKenzie was born and raised on Lookout Mountain. She graduated from Sand Rock High School. She worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for a few years, and also worked as a hairdresser until she retired. She was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to walk at the mall followed by lots of shopping. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and she will be dearly missed.

She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Eula Bobo, and wife of the late Roy McKenzie, whom she was married to for 51 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy (Kenneth) Phillips; son, Mike (Laura) McKenzie; grandchildren, Shonna (Donald) Jakiel, Shannon (Brad) Croft, Josh McKenzie, Zack (Molly) McKenzie; great grandchildren, Brittany Walker, Chase Jakiel, Kaitlyn Croft, Conner Croft; great-great grandchildren, Paris Messer, CJ Walker.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Special thanks to Nancy Beas and Shonna Jakiel for taking such good care of our mother. Also to Michelle and Sarah from Gentiva Hospice, and Shannon Croft for being there to take care of her in her time of need.

The family will receive friends from 1-3pm, Sunday prior to the service.
