Fleda Robertson Thrift

Fleda Thrift of Gadsden, Alabama, passed from this life into the loving arms of her Savior on October 20th, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Marcus; her beloved son, Mark (Lydia); her cherished granddaughter, Meredith; her sister, Agnes Murphy (Terry); her special brother-law, Gary Thrift; and many precious nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mavis Kathleen Smith; her father, John Robertson; her siblings, Martha Biddle, Jane Chandler, Oren Holland, Richard Robertson, and Faye Woodall; her sister-in-law, Wanda Thrift; and sister-in-law, Nancy Thrift.

The family will receive visitors at Collier-Butler Funeral Home on Sunday, October 26th, from 2:00–4:00 in the afternoon, with service to follow at 4:00. The service will be directed by Collier-Butler and officiated by Bro. John Copeland, Bro. Joshua Copeland, Perry Tigue, and Evan Tigue.

She was a faithful member of North Gadsden Baptist Church for her whole life. In order to carry on her love for helping those most in need, the family would be honored if memorials could be given to the North Gadsden Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
