

Mrs. Flossie Mae Lowery, 82, Ashville, AL went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday January 22, 2016. She was born on May 24, 1933, lived in Ashville, AL, and was a life long resident of St. Clair County. She was a member of the Ashville church of Christ.
She loved to cook, was famous for her homemade biscuits and blackberries, and if you walked into her kitchen, you were not leaving without being fed. She spent her life serving her family and loving them unconditionally. She enjoyed serving the Lord, reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, and going to worship services.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Lowery; parents, Grimm and Nellie Pierce; children, Flora Mae Lowery, Betty Faye Lowery, Jody Lowery, and Mary Williams; 9 siblings; and 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Johnny) Bolton, JoAnn Moore, Margaret Simmons, Harold (Gail) Lowery, Tommy Lowery, Tina (Michael) Dorsett, Susan (Jacade) Reynolds, and Trace Williams; sisters, Beatrice Collier and Mary Senclair; Grandchildren, Eugene (LuAnn) Reeves, Krystal (Jason) McWhorter, Gina (Michael) Farley, Jessica (Nicholas) Freeman, James (Coley) Bolton, Jonathan and Paige Williams, Colton and Chloe Hammond, Isabella and Addison Reynolds; Great Grandchildren, Tyler and Emma Lowery, Christopher and Jenny Reeves, Austin and Tony Padula, Garrett McWhorter, Landon and Connor Farley, Sean and MacKenzie Bolton, and Olivia Freeman; a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Bolton, Michael Dorsett, Michael Farley, Nicholas Freeman, Colton Hammond, Tyler Lowery, Jason McWhorter, Christopher Reeves, Eugene Reeves, Jacade Reynolds, and Trace Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Brian Snoddy of Birmingham Heart Clinic, doctor, nurses, and staff of the ER and MICU at GRMC, Allen Reeves, Jimmy Reeves, and Jonathan Williams.
Visitation will be from 3-6 pm at Collier Butler on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Memorial Service will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2 pm at Ashville church of Christ with Brother Jeff Clevenger officiating and Jacob Dowdy leading singing. She will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services. Graveside Services will be at Gum Springs Baptist Church immediately following the memorial service.
