Frances M. Taliaferro

Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Williams-Southside Memorial Park for Frances Mayben Taliaferro, 82, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Rev. Bruce Word will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Taliaferro was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Alabama fan.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Mayben, Jr. and Norman Taliaferro; daughter, Tina Taliaferro; sister, Sue Cranford; brother, Kenneth Hill; and mother, Lula Mae Daniel.

She is survived by her sons, Steve (Jan) Mayben, and David (Deborah) Mayben; grandchildren, Luke (Adrienne) Mayben, Heather (Chris) Bontrager, Chris (Kimberly) Adcock, and Amanda (Tony) Adcock; great-grandchildren, Alex Carson, Ella Bontrager, Kandice and Bailey Gargus, and Austin and Riley Adcock; special great-granddaughter, Jesslyn Watson Adcock; sister, Willow McLaughin; special friend Mary L. Cox and family; special niece Diane Clevenger; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Luke Mayben, Anthony Brown, Johnny Keith Cranford, Chris Adcock, and Richard Adcock.

Special pallbearer will be Bailey Gargus.

The family will accept friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
