
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Frances B. Tucker, age 84, of Gadsden, who passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017. Rev. Daniel Pope will officiate. Entombment will be at Forrest Mausoleum. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Today we celebrate the wonderful life of Frances Tucker. She was a woman of unparalleled strength, courage and honor; and we give thanks for the blessings of her presence in our lives. Through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, even as her health slowly declined, Frances was steadfast in her love for her family and the Lord in a way that brought great comfort to her family and friends. She entered into the next phase of her life surrounded by loved ones. Family was an important aspect of Frances’ life. She was happiest surrounded her family.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel W. Tucker; brothers, James Buttram, and Harold Buttram; and sisters, Virginia Gramling, Eura Cosby, and Margarite Rudisill.
She is survived by her sons, Mitch Tucker and Eric Tucker; grandchildren, Michael and Katherine Tucker; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bellevue Methodist Men’s Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellevue United Methodist Church.
