Gail Warsham

Mrs. Martha Gail Warsham, age 87, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. A celebration of life service will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Dr. Norris Hilton officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service.

Mrs. Warsham was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was a member, and Church Secretary at Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Her early career was Executive Secretary to the President and Officers of State National Bank. She had many talents which included sewing, free hand oil painting, and stained glass art.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Billy Warsham, and her parents, Elbert and Nora Mayben.

She is survived by her sons, Darryl (Wesley Marquina) Warsham and Duane (Penny) Warsham; grandchildren, Brianna (Cody) Burns, Kaycee Warsham and Nick Warsham; great grandchildren, Avie Burns, Theo Fuller, Sam Fuller and Lyndie Burns and her brother Bob (JoAnne) Mayben and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nick Warsham, Cody Burns, Don Thompson, Wesley Marquina, Duane Warsham and Darryl Warsham.

A special Thank you is extended to the staff of Silver Lakes Assisted Living Memory Care and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice – for their compassionate care and kindness.

Her final resting place will be Forrest Cemetery, 700 S 15Th St, Gadsden.
