Gary F. Adams

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Gary Fred Adams, 65, of Attalla, who passed away Monday, December 22, 2014. Rev. Billy Tidwell will officiate. Burial will be at Bethany Baptist Cemetery, Reece City. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Adams was born and raised in Reece City and was a graduate of Etowah High School. He retired from Flowers Bakery after 18 years and was employed at Advance Auto Distribution for 10 years. He was an avid Alabama fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Adams.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, faith Hayes Adams; son, Justin (Angel) Hayes; granddaughter, Ambria “Bria” Hayes; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be “RC” Roger Smith, Rodney McCoy, Danny Jenkins, Albert Jenkins, Donnie Kirby, Stanley Whitt, and Cody Ray Kimbrell.

Honorary pallbearers are Candy Hill and Ray Barksdale.

Special thanks to the Reece City Fire Department; Riverview Regional Medical Center staff; Alacare Hospice; Dr. Corley; Dr. Wesley; Dr. Vonare; Dr. Gorham; and the staff at Foot Clinic.

The family will accept friends from 11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m. Friday, prior to the service.
