Gary Wright

Mr. Gary Wright, 83, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025. Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm, Monday, December 22, 2025 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forrest Cemetery.

Mr. Wright attended Emma Sansom High School in Gadsden. He then moved to Georgia where he graduated from Dekalb Area Technical School and worked as a commercial HVAC technician until his retirement. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 72 for over fifty years and could often be seen wearing his favorite York hat. He was an avid fisherman, competing in many tournaments. He enjoyed Nascar races, travelling and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Wright; his mother, Annie Wright; his father, Wiley Wright; and his brothers, Robert Wright and Don Wright.

He is survived by his children, Phillip (Kathy) Wright and Becky (Joel) Weatherholtz; grandchildren, Holly (R.T.) Smith, Aubrey Wright, Russell (Murphy) Corley, Leanna Wright, Bobby (Kristy) Wright, Taylor Wilson, Josh McElwaney, Jacob Weatherholtz, Sara Weatherholtz; great grandchildren, Amelia & Lilly Wright, Nash & Sawyer Corley, Kairi Smith, Myla McElwaney; dear friends, Linda & Jerry Heard, Phill Pritchett, Harold & Jackie Smith, Mike & Debbie Garris.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the hour of service at the funeral home on Monday.
