Funeral services for Mrs. Gina Hardin Walters, 43, of Gadsden, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Pastor Mark Gidley will officiate with Pastor J.L. Knight co-officiating. Burial will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service on Sunday. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Gina attended Faith Worship Center in Glencoe, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Evelyn Hardin, and Reverend Paul Butler.
She is survived by her mother and best friend, Shirley Ann Butler; her loving father, Charles Wayne Hardin (Cheryl) of Hellier, Kentucky; loving sister and best friend, Ginger Hardin Paradelas; and special brother-in-law Jason Paradelas. She also leaves behind her husband, Jon “J.D.” Walters; her mother-in-law, Charlotte Orr; and one remaining grandmother, Ruth “Sissy” Butler.
Gina leaves behind her three children who will greatly miss their mother; her oldest son and daughter-in-law, Micah and Melissa Kendall; her son, Mitchell Kendall and fiancé Halee Ogle; her daughter, Amber Kendall and fiancé Greg Thacker.
She also leaves behind three grandchildren whom she cherished deeply, Joel, Ryan and Raelynn Kendall.
Other survivors include a special nephew, Jerome "J.C.” Gann and niece-in-law Melissa Gann, parents of her great-nephews, Kadyn and Landon Gann; two nieces, Keysha Phillips and Ashlyn Miller; great-niece, Kammi Phillips; and a host of family including aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Micah Kendall, Jerome “J.C” Gann, Chad Riley, Chris Barron, Greg Thacker, Alan Conner, Preston Reneman and Rick Reneman.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to special nurses of Gadsden Regional Medical Center 4th Floor MICU – Donna Chapman and Ryan Shew, and also to very special neighbors and friends Junior DeWeese and Linda Bramlett, and Dennis and Karen Williams.
