Glenda Kidd Harwood Knowles

Funeral services for Glenda (Kidd Harwood) Knowles, of Rainbow City, who went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2012, will be Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 2 p.m. at James Memorial Baptist Church. She will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Tates Chapel Cemetery. Collier-Butler will be directing.

The Rev. Mike Allums and the Rev. Bill Abbott will officiate with Patrick Williams and Lori Goss Austin assisting.

Glenda had been a member of James Memorial Baptist Church since 1962.

She was preceded in death by her son, Randall "Randy" Harwood; mother, Audrey Goss Kidd; father, Billy L. Kidd Sr.

Survivors: John Knowles; son, Cort Harwood (Ashley); daughter, Gina Gresham (Ray); special daughter-in-law, Christy Harwood Gunter (Joe); grandsons, Kevin Harwood (Alicean), Justin Harwood, Chase Harwood, Peyton Gunter; granddaughters, Heather Harwood, Holly Harwood, Chloe Harwood, Savana Gunter; brother, Billy L. Kidd Jr.; sisters, Betty Williams (Ted), Bobbie Matthews (David), Carol Joy (Jack); numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles; special friends, Nancy Waters, Mary Heard, Mirium Mutt, B.J. Moore, Kim Russell, Jackie Bellew, Judy and Jessica Kennedy.

Visitation will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 6 to 8 this evening.
