Guy Ray Ross Sr.

Guy Ray Ross, 92, of Glencoe passed away on June 11, 2024. He was a native of Etowah County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Garfield Ross and Julia Mooney Ross, infant daughter, Judith Kay Ross, sister, Sybil Ross Kilpatrick and brother in law, Orell Kilpatrick.

Guy is survived by his wife of 73 years, Jewell Haun Ross and son, Guy Ray Ross Jr. (Robbie). Guy is survived by his granddaughters Jennifer Ross Strawn (Chad) and Julie Ross Malamud (David), He is survived by four great grandchildren, Conner Strawn, Charli Grace Strawn, Ellie Malamud and Rose Malamud. He is survived by several precious nieces and nephews. Guy worked at Meadow Gold Dairy and then for Clean Rental until retirement.

After retirement Guy drove for Moultrie Toyota. He was an avid bass fisherman and participated in area Fishing Tournaments earning several trophies through the years. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and France.

Guy was a member of North Gadsden Baptist Church. The family would like to express a special thanks to caregiver, Brandy Howard, Dr. Steve Sanders and the kind nurses of Amedysis Hospice.
