A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Bro. David Carroll will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Steve will be laid to rest at Crestwood Cemetery.
Steve attended Emma Sansom High School, Class of 1976. He had a lifelong love for music and found great joy in playing the drums and performing as a member of his band. He spent countless hours creating music in his home studio, affectionately known as Studio 57, where he shared his passion with many friends and made cherished memories through the years. Above all, Steve treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved wife and best friend, Annette. He was also blessed with many lifelong friendships that he deeply valued.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Annette Turner; daughter, Shannon Dalrymple; grandson, Andrew Dalrymple; sister, Kelly Clark (Joey); brother-in-law, James Davis; nieces, Jody Holland (Heath) and Shelly Mason (Miles).
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hazel Turner, and his sister, Linda Davis.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the neighbors of Howell Circle, where Steve grew up and continued to call home, for their friendship, love, and support throughout the years.
