Harry Levon Hamme, 69, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013. Visitation will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, Monday 1:00-3:00 p.m. and the funeral immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Johnny Johnson of Gadsden Christian Fellowship will officiate. A private burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Harry was born January 12, 1944 in Gadsden, AL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Minnie Mastoras, his fatherDr. Harry Woodrow Hamme, his brothers Butch (Eric Von) Hamme and William Frank Hamme, his siter-in-law, Shelia Diane Hamme, and special dog Dee Dee.
He is survived by his mother, Agatha Grace Hamme, sister-in-law, Judy Rains Hamme, brother, Rod Hamme, nieces and nephews, Todd Hamme, Lori (Shawn) Moore, Erica (Zac) Skidmore, Crystal Hamme and fiance' Tyiler Sims, and Dillon Hamme. Great nieces and nephews, Sienna Hamme, Ericken, Lauren, and Grace Moore, Daniel, Isabella, Kate and Gabby Kiani, Tony and Mason Sims. Cousins, Danny and Gina Cornwell, Laura and Daniel Cornwell and kind friend Danny Little.
Harry graduated from Gasden High School in 1962. He enjoyed growing up at his family's restaurant "The White Palace Cafe." He also loved cars, building engines, helping friends with mechanic work, and racing at Green Valley. In his older years, Harry enjoyed persuing Wal-Mart and eating at Pruett's. He loved to make us laugh.
