Helen Alline Stewart Walker

Helen Alline Stewart Walker, 89, of Gadsden passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct. Mrs. Walker was of the Presbyterian faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and crochet. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.G. and Lucille Stewart; husband, Everett Russell Walker; son, Clint Walker; granddaughter, Lyndsey M. Gladden; sisters, Louise Stowers and Dorothy Sue Ingram; brothers, J. L. Stewart and Bill Stewart. Survivors include her daughter, Marie (Gary) Gladden; son, Bruce Walker; granddaughter, Tiffany Gladden; great granddaughter, Zaney Jewel Gladden; a grandson and 2 great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rickey Rogers; Johnny Dixon; Gary Gladden; Bill Taft and Vann Williams. The family would like to extend special thanks to Amedisys Home Health Staff; McGuffey’s Rehab First Staff and Dr. Kevin Smith with Canterbury Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
