

Memorial Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Jack Marshall Nelson, 67, Gadsden who died Monday-March 22, 2010. Rev. Paul Kilgo will officiate. Cremation Services provided by Collier-Butler Funeral Home
Mr. Nelson was a native and longtime resident of Etowah County. He graduated from Gadsden High School Class of 1961, in which, he was one of the last male cheerleader. He had been employed with Gulf States Steel for 33 years and later became the owner and operator of Jack’s Landscaping and Maintenance. He was a veteran of the National Guard. Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, M.L. and Virginia Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Susan B. Nelson

Son, Drew (Heather Turner) Nelson, Gadsden
Grandchildren, Addy and Emmy Smith and Payden Nelson
Brother, Milton (Janice) Nelson, Southside
Nieces, Jenny (Todd) Clough, Attalla and Leigh Helms, Rainbow City

The family will accept green plants, cut arrangements or memorials may be made in Jack’s memory to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 3231 Warrior Valley Road, Altoona, AL 35952.
A special thanks is extended to the Neurology Staff and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at UAB Hospital.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, K.G> Street, Milton Nelson, Paul Kilgo, Jerry Evans, Drew Nelson and Joseph Smith
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home with Memorial Services starting at 6:00 p.m.
