
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for James Franklin Mulkey, 64, of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Rev. Ricky Pollard will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Mulkey was a 1969 graduate of Etowah High School and severed in the US Army. He retired as a Sergeant from the Gadsden Police Force, Military Security Guard at the Anniston Army Depot, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Mulkey; father, Ellis Mulkey; mother, Lalar Mulkey; brother, Jimmy Mulkey; and sister, Polly Meyers.
He is survived by his son, Ryan (Erin) Mulkey; grandsons, Sam and Harrison Mulkey; brother, Jerry (Jennifer) Mulkey; sister, Annette (George) McDowell; special friend, Tammy Beard; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Barry Moore, Glen Finley, Doc Holliday, Brandon Harris, Bradley Saylor, and Mike Clay.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Gadsden Police Department and the Anniston Army Depot Security Department.

The family will accept friends from 1:30-3:30 p.m. prior to the service.
