Jason Christian Bane

He was born on August 21, 1972, in Florissant, Missouri to Larry T. Bane and Donna Ridings Bane.

He was a devoted and loving husband of 29 years to Niki Bane (Kristi) and loving and immensely proud father to Avery Bane (BoTink), Riley Bane (Doot), Joshua Bane (Bubba), and Luke Bane (Duker) and his favorite pup, Gigi Bane.

He was known for his thoughtfulness, kindness, generosity, steadiness, gentleness, and his “calm in the storm” demeanor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Niki Bane and his children Avery, Riley, Joshua, and Luke; his mother, Donna Ridings Bane, stepmother, Jo Anne Bane; sister, Michelle Bane Schollmeyer, brother Shawn Bane; step-sisters Rachel Doherty-Mackey (Eric) and Stephanie Foote (Nieles); parents-in-law William R. and Denise Sanders, Phil McClendon; sisters-in-law Cori Wagner (Matt), Ashley Sanders, Heather McClendon Colvard (Michael); and brother-in-law Ryan McClendon (Brittany) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends all of whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Thomas Bane, and his grandparents, Loren and Betty (McClammer) Bane, and Joseph and Opal Ridings.

He had a passion for kart racing, playing golf with his sons, Alabama football, Reese’s cups, and watching his kids play soccer throughout the years. He had a special passion for tinkering; he loved to tinker around in his workshop for hours on end. He was a Mr. Fix It and there was nothing that he could not fix.

He built a successful career in retail management. He was loved and respected by all he worked with and worked for. He had the ability to motivate and inspire everyone he worked with.

He loved his wife so very well. He was the protector of his home and family and had a gentle fierceness that was unmatched.

Funeral services will be held at Collier Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, AL on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Family will receive guests from 11:00am-1:00pm with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
