Jason Harmony, age 51, of (Coats Bend Community) Gadsden, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and family, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Jeff Sauls will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date at Union No. 3 Cemetery.
Jason was a 1992 graduate of Gaston High School. He devoted his love and countless hours to the family’s Sullivan Tree Farm. He committed over 20 years of service to N.E. Etowah Water Cooperative, serving his community. He attended Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend. Jason lived his life to the fullest and devoted himself to his passion for fishing, hunting, and spending time with those he loved the most. He was the most loyal friend anyone could have asked for, and everyone’s children were his children too, which he loved, supported, showed up for and loved passing on his infamous wisdom too. Jason will forever be remembered for his loyalty, ability to love, unwavering commitment to his family and friends, infectious smile and laughter, and his compassion and continued willingness to help others, no matter what the task. He loved spending time with his grandfather, being on a boat with a line in the water, or in the woods hunting turkey and deer. Jason never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Jane Sullivan; grandparents, Frank and Jenelle Sullivan; uncle, Doug Sullivan; his great-aunt, Betty Sullivan; and special friends, Cody Richardson and Alex Cook.
