Jean England

Mrs. Jean England, age 94, of Gadsden went to be with the Lord Monday, February 21, 2022. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Steve Parrish officiating. Jean will be laid to rest at Rainbow Memorial Gardens, 1440 W Grand Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35904.

Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services.

Mrs. England was a 1946 graduate of Etowah High School. She was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church and had a true servant’s heart. She enjoyed sewing and traveling.

Mrs. England was preceded in death by her parents, William Horace Moore and Abbie Patterson Moore and her brothers, Jack Moore and Floyd Bearden.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Gary (Janis) England, Hartselle, AL, Michael (Stacy) England, Attalla, AL, Kaye (Steve) Parrish, Chelsea, AL and Jeff (Berit) England, Tignall, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Buckalew, Meaghan Kirby, Lisa England, Joy England, Marc Heard, Julie Robinson, Leslie Sawyer, Jamie Vick, Jake England and Josh England; 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Treadwell, Luke Kirby, Jake England, Marc Heard, Josh England and Connor Buckalew.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Mrs. England’s memory to the Food Bank at Etowah Baptist Missions Center, 215 Wall Street, Gadsden, AL 35904.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the Nurses and Staff with Compassus Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday evening at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
