Mr. Jeffrey Edward Beaird, 58, of Gadsden, AL, passed away on Monday, February 1st, 2021. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Clay officiating. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
Jeff was a loving Christian son, father, and grandfather. Jeff graduated from Ashville High School and worked as a sheet metal mechanic for many years. Jeff enjoyed visiting the beach, playing golf, shooting his guns, and he was a big movie buff. He was also a huge Alabama football fan. Jeff was a member of Steele Baptist Church.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Mary Earline Beaird, and his brother, Terry Charles Beaird. He is survived by his daughter, Sherrel Devan (Keith) Partee; sisters, Rebecca Elaine (Danny) Little, Patricia Carol (Jim) Clay; grandson, Jordan Tyler Partee; nieces and nephews, Jermy (Rachel) Beaird, Matthew Beaird, Amy (Rob) Allen, Keith (Jennifer) Clay, Terah (Rob) Honnet, Brooke (Nate) Martin; and many great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service will be Keith Partee, Keith Clay, Jermy Beaird, Matthew Beaird, Rob Allen, and John Bowlin.
Special thanks to nurses Rhiannon, Ethan, and medical staff from Riverview Regional Medical Center for their care and comfort during this difficult time. Special thanks also to Wendy and Rich Ellis, Keith Partee, Patsy Clay, Becki Little, Keith Clay, Amy Allen, Samantha Prewett, Victoria Blake, and all family and friends for their prayers and support.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 – 2:00.
