

Jimmie F. Lovvorn, 89, Gadsden, died Tuesday, March 22, 2010. Graveside services will be at Crestwood Cemetery Thursday at 1:00pm with Rev. Bo Lloyd officiating. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Lovvorn was a native of Bowdon, Georgia and a resident of Gadsden since 1955, having lived in Birmingham for several years. She was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church where she taught in the Primary Department since 1955. She worked at the church in Mother’s Day Out for about fifteen years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Lovvorn was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. “Doc” Lovvorn, 8 siblings, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Survivors include: Daughters and sons- in- law: Pat L. and Bill Griffin, Rainbow City; Juanita L. and Terry Pruitt, Hoover; Son and daughter in law: James B. “Jim” and Audrey Lovvorn, Gadsden; Grandchildren: Kevin and Tania Griffin, Tampa; Lance Pruitt, Birmingham; Scott and Whitney Pruitt, Birmingham; Paige Pruitt, Nashville; Brad and Connie Lovvorn, Athens; Great Grandchildren: Madison Lovvorn, Conner Pruitt, Jackson and Tyler Pruitt, Ashley Robertson, Rob and Michael Kimbrough, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of the staff at Gadsden Health Care, Dr. Vincente Torregosa, New Beacon Hospice, and especially the staff of station One at Gadsden Health Care.

Visitation will be at Collier-Butler from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday at Collier-Butler.
