Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Collier Butler Chapel with committal Service to follow at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Stanley Naylor, Bro. Andrew Mikkelson, and Bro. Tony Scala will officiate. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.
Jo was a loving wife, mother, and sister and a devout Christian. She was a native and lifelong resident of Gadsden. She was a graduate of Grace Christian Academy and Bob Jones University. She had worked the majority of her life in the healthcare industry, having worked with Riverview Regional Medical Center, Women's Healthcare Professionals, Dr. Royce Jones, and as Catering Coordinator at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. While at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Jo was awarded employee of the year. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist.
She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Bessie Iola Rials, brother Bennie Rials, and brother in law Ron Ricchi.
Jo is survived by her husband Rayford Taylor; children Bethany Tyree (Kenny) and Brandon Taylor (Terri); two grandchildren; sisters Edna Rials Ricchi and Ruth Ragsdale (Jim); brothers John Rials and Larry Rials (Jenny); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will accept flowers or Memorials may be made to Fibromyalgia Research.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Taylor, Kenny Tyree, John Clausen, Jim Goode, Waylon Downs, and Brian Downs.
The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center ER and CCU.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the hour of service.
