John Charles Rutledge

John was born July 26, 1970 to Jack and Trinna Rutledge in Gadsden, AL. He graduated from Gadsden High School and the University of Alabama. He worked at LabCorp for 20 years. He raised his children in Homewood, Alabama. At the time of his death, he lived with his wife Vicky and fur babies Dixie and Cowboy in Trussville, Alabama.

Preceded in death by grandparents Charles Rutledge, Margaret Rutledge Reeves, and Christina

Young. Survived by his loving wife, Vicky Moore Rutledge; parents, Jack and Trinna Rutledge;

children, Alex Rutledge Sheetz (Joel) and Jackson Rutledge, and Fur babies Dixie and Cowboy. John

was an avid ultra marathon runner and loved the outdoors. His greatest accomplishments in life

were being the best son, father, and husband.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Homewood High School band.

A funeral service for John will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Union Hill Community Church, 2905 Tidmore Bend Road, Gadsden, Alabama 35901.

Pallbearers assisting John to his final resting place will include; Andrew Barnes, Philip Beddingfield , Jimmy Beddingfield, Chad Jordan, Chauncey Harris, Jeff Edwards, Jake Herring, and Matthew White.
