

Funeral services will be 2 PM on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Johnnie J. Latham, 90, who passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Revs. Bob Thornton and Lauil Thompson will officiate with burial to follow at Williams-Southside Memorial Park. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Latham was born in Blount County and later moved to Etowah County. He was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Molly Latham, one sister, and eight brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Latham; son, Johnny Latham; daughters, Patricia Williams, and Connie (Tommy) Sewell; grandchildren, Chere (John) Wood, Michelle (Todd) Joseph, Daniel Sewell, Nathan (Amber) Sewell, and Lydia Sewell; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Wood, and Isabella Wood; sister-in-law, Dorothy Latham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Sewell, Daniel Sewell, Nathan Sewell, Albert Davis, Wendell Price, and Larry Watson. Honorary pallbearer will be Nicholas Wood. Many thanks to special neighbors, Wendell and Nadine Price, Albert and Louise Davis, and Larry and Shirley Watson. Also special thanks to Dr. Wesley and his staff.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Southside Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 PM on Friday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
