Kenneth Lee Moss, 69, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 5, 2025. Born on September 11, 1956, in California, Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (“Papa”), great-grandfather, and friend. His quiet strength, steady presence, and unwavering love left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Maxi and Viola Moss; sisters Mary Lopez Moss and Martha Moss Lee; brother Vernel Moss; and nephews Toby Moss and Robby Wingate; father-in-law Robert (Bob) Alley and uncle-in-law Lee Alley.
He is survived by his beloved wife and childhood sweetheart of 50 years, LaRanda “Randi” Lee Moss; daughters Rebecca (Becki) Moss Cannon and Christina Pridmore; sons-in-law Joe Cannon and Nathan Pridmore; grandchildren Kendelle Cannon Stovall (Nathan Stovall), Cole Cannon (Lauryn Cannon), and Gavin Pridmore; great-grandson Aiden Stovall; brother Larry Moss (Ruth); and a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Ken cherished his family above all else. He was the embodiment of “family first,” taking immense pride in their accomplishments and the love they shared. He especially treasured time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild—his little buddy Gavin was his fellow Dodgers fan, and they celebrated the team’s World Series win together this year.
A man of simple joys, Ken found peace in his garden, pride in his perfectly kept yard, and delight in tending to his fishpond. He was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan and never missed a chance to cheer them on.
Professionally, Ken was a self-employed floor contractor and business owner, widely respected for his exceptional craftsmanship and integrity. Known as one of the best in his field, he approached every job with precision, fairness, and pride. His work was a reflection of his character—honest, meticulous, and deeply principled. Those who worked alongside him learned not just a trade, but a way of life rooted in doing things the right way.
Ken will be remembered for his deep devotion to those he loved, his quiet resilience, and the legacy of integrity he built through both his work and his relationships. His values—kindness, loyalty, humility, and love of family—will live on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, and generations to come.
A private memorial will be held to honor Ken’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to support future family needs. Venmo | Rebecca Cannon
