Larry Edwin Jones

A visitation for Larry will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Harmony Cemetery.

Since the age of 16, Larry Jones has worked across the country as a truck driver. He loved and enjoyed the challenges and discoveries that the open roads, highways, and byways provided him with. Their small towns, cafes, motels, and their local populations with their own folk stories. His educational experiences with the cast of numerous diverse people in various businesses and variety of life experiences ultimately led him to be well known. He will be remembered and deeply missed by many.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bill and Audrey Jones; and his beloved grandmother, Rhoda Hood.

He is survived by his sister, Martha Palazzolo; brother, John I. Jones; nieces, Darlene Byars and Roanna Rhodes; and great nieces, Mattie McConnell, Hannah Skikas, and Emily Rhodes.
