Laura Lyle Willingham, age 53 of Douglas, AL, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018. Visitation will be held from 3-6:00 PM, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Collier- Butler Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 5, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church of Boaz, AL with Reverend Shannon Pullen officiating. The burial will follow at Douglas Cemetery, Douglas, AL. Arrangements under the direction of Collier- Butler Funeral Home.
Laura was an inspiring woman, as she touched many lives with her caring personality, creativity, and confidence. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put the interests of others before her own. Laura enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies and family vacations. Specifically, she cherished 32 trips to Disney World, which created everlasting memories with those who she loved.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Johnson and W.L. “Billy” Lyle.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Willingham; children, Blake (Denise) Willingham, Derrick Willingham, and Kristen (Jesse) Beavers; grandchildren, Caylee, Landon, Jaiden, and Logan; siblings, Tommy Lyle, Pat Sutton, Linda Lyle, and Judy (Eddie) Martin; and other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be close friends and family.
