Funeral services will be held 11 am on Monday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Mr. Louie William Jester, age 82, of Ashville, who passed away Friday, October 14, 2011. Rev. Chris Cornutt will officiate with burial at Hopewell Cemetery, Ashville. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service directing.
Mr. Jester retired in 1992 after 31 years of service with the State of Alabama Highway Department and was also a U.S. Army Veteran. He grew up in St. Clair County and will remain in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Efford Jester and Dollie Belle Barnes; and sister, Ima Jean.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Jester; children, Marilyn Jean Mooney (Gary), Francis Louise Jester, William Alford Jester, Harold Wayne Jester and Tona Irene Jester; grandchildren, Natassja Jester, William Alford Jester, Jr., Anthony Ray Colley, Zachary Gerome Smith, Bobby Allen Noah, Kevin Andrew Jester (Crystal) and John Keith Daily (Savannah), Joseph Aaron Abernathy, Bradly Wayne Jester, Brandon Wade Jester, Louie Alexander Jester, Markus Winston Thomas Jester and Joseph Andrew Campbell; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Payne, Barbara Jo Barnes, Betty Ann Whitt, June Barnes; and brothers, Robert Barnes, Bill Barnes and Calvin Barnes.
Pallbearers will be family.
