Chapel funeral service for Loy Kermit Tatum, age 90, who passed away September 1, will be 11 AM Saturday, September 3, 2011. The Revs. Billy York, Mark Putman, and Don Barnett will officiate with burial at 2:30 pm at Dutton United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dutton, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Tatum was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army from December 1942 until December 1945. He was an active member of East Gadsden United Methodist Church; and retired from Anniston Ordnance Depot.
Mr. Tatum is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie York Tatum of Gadsden; sister, Bonnie Stockman of Dutton; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to East Gadsden United Methodist Church, 201 S. 8th St. Gadsden, AL 35903 or the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
