Lura Ann Culli Norton

Funeral services for Lura Ann Culli Norton, age 63 of Gadsden, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Bro. Bill Drummons will officiate with burial to follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Norton passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Norton; and parents, Phillip and Dorothy Culli.

Lura is survived by her sister, Anita (Jim) Kennedy; brother, Raymond Culli; step-children, David, Michael and Neal (Kimberly) Norton, and Joni (Jeff) Matlock; and grandchildren, Nicholas and Stephen Norton, and Tyler and Samantha Matlock.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Lura was the owner of Lura’s Wallpaper and More for many years. She was a hard worker and enjoyed interior design. Lura loved gardening and flowers, and was an excellent Southern cook. She also served as church organist for many years. One of her greatest joys was her best friend and canine companion, Taz.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
