Margie Allen Williams

Margie Allen Williams, 95, of Gadsden has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away surrounded by family members on Thursday May 10th, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida Rich Allen and Hiram H. Allen; former husband, Woody Williams; sisters, Marguerite Causey, Lee Hill, Mary Owens, Jo Glass, Frances Allen; brothers, John Allen, Ed Allen; sister- in- laws, Betty Allen; and Shirley Allen. Brothers-in-law, Billy Glass, Alfred Causey, James Owens, and Van Hill. Nephews, Rodney Allen, Steve Allen and niece Diane Massey. She is survived by step sons Don Williams and Wayne Williams. Sisters, Gail Allen, and Sue Wiggins; brother, Roy Allen. Brother-in-law Bob Wiggins; nieces, Donna Elliott, Debbie Marable, Sandy Phillips, Laura Vanhooser, Carla Miles and special niece, Denise Fant; nephews, Alan Causey, Daryl Glass, Eddie Allen, Donald Glass, Robin Wiggins, Dr. Roger Allen and special nephew, Andy Owens; Great nieces, Autumn Vanderver, Heather Harper, Brittany Burnett, Brittney Chandler, Hannah Miles, Anna and Katherine Wiggins, Stephanie Allen, Rachael Jarrells, Ashley Odom, Kristen Glass and special great niece, Jennifer Attaway. Great nephews, Blake Dillon, Cliff Vanhooser, Collin Wiggins, Brandon Allen, Joseph Allen and Cayson Owens. She had numerous great, great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the staff at Coosa Valley nursing home, Amedisys Hospice and family members Denise Fant, Jennifer Attaway and Andy Owens for all their help during these trying times. Margie was employed by Elmore's Five and Dime for many years. She was a lifelong member of Paden Baptist Church. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Her nephews will act as pallbearers. Visitation will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 and the service will be at 2:00pm at Collier-Butler Chapel with Rev. Gerald Adams officiating.
