Memorial Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Eulogy being given by Pat Thomas. There will be no graveside service.
Collier-Butler Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Brackett was a 1955 graduate of Emma Sansom High School and attended GSCC. She was a member of Dwight Baptist Church, the Emma Sansom Half Century Club, and the “I Grew Up In Alabama City Club.”
She was active in state and local politics and touched the lives of many young people as a substitute teacher. Her proudest accomplishment was that of a wife, mother and homemaker.
Her husband of 62 years preceded her in death, Charles “Red” Brackett.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Brackett and Wendy Miller; granddaughter, Allison (Ricky) Churchill; great granddaughters, Molly and Brynn Woodside; sisters, Dolores Parsons, Birmingham and Frances Stone, Auburn; nephews, Butch Pritchett, Robin Stone, Johnny Pritchett and Michael Stone.
Honorary Pallbearers are Pat Thomas, Claude Manderson, Jerry Foster, Larry Wester, Tim Campbell and Earl Hicks.
