She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lucille Garmon; brothers, Bill, Frank, Danny, Sammy, and Tommy Garmon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Carter; children, Donna (Larry) Cartee, James (Debbie) Carter, Michael Carter, and Lisa (Todd) Lyles; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members.
Pallbearers will be Jason, Ryan, Kevan, Matt, and Craig Carter, Peyton and Curtis Lyles, and Aaron Cartee.
She will lie in state at Collier-Butler Funeral home Saturday, February 27, 2016 beginning at 12 noon. Service will be at 2pm. Pastor Rodney Prickett and Bro. Bobby Winningham will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery.
