Martha Odene Hairell

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Martha Odene Hairell, 81, who passed away February, 27, 2013. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Odene was born in the midst of the Great Depression to Eli and Mamie Hairell. The family tended to her needs as best they could, before having to place her in care facilities. She came to the Kyle Homes on August 19, 1993 and lived out her final years with lots of love and attention. Odene brought joy to everyone she was around. She loved children and earned the nickname “Granny”. She was loved much, heard often, and will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie; father, Eli; sister, Susie; and son, Eddie.

She is survived by her family residing at the Kyle Homes.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenneth Roberts, Tony Brown, Max Parmer, James Gray, Steve Bailey, Dennis Farley, Harry Garner, Wayne Hubbard, and Richy Wilson.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 prior to the service.
