Mary Sue Anderson

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Mary Sue Anderson, age 83, of Gadsden who passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate with burial at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of North Glencoe Baptist Church. She was very active, in her earlier years, with PTA, and had been involved as a volunteer with the Boy’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Anderson and sons, Donald “Donnie” and Michael Anderson, parents, Hugh Elbert Watson, Lola Marceleene Sitz Watson and sister, Eloise L. McClung.

She is survived by daughters-in-law; Beryl Anderson and Selina Anderson, grandchildren; Donna Anderson (Richard) Parrish, Don (Alaina) Anderson, Ashley Anderson, Brittany (Michael) Finney and Christen Anderson , 3 great grandchildren, Caroline and Charlotte Anderson and Malaki Finney.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to John Croyle’s Big Oak Ranch.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carol and Mike Gladden and staff for all the years of love and care you gave to Sue.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
