Mary DeEtta (Fox) Barton

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mary DeEtta (Fox) Barton, 91, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, GA. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Barton was a member of the Northeast Etowah Senior Citizens and Turkeytown United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion W. Barton; parents, Arie and Holly Fox; sisters, Orla Callow, Blondena Linger, Stella Mae Linger, and Retha Young; brothers, Oris Fox, and Gregory Fox; and son-in-law James Kenneth Holcomb.

Mrs. Barton is survived by her children, Marilyn (Ray) Fluharty, Marv (Tom Oprandi) Barton, Sandy (Jerry) Bessemer, Marlene Holcomb, and Marty (Kymn) Barton; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Honeycutt; and brothers, Jasper Fox and James Fox.

Pallbearers will be Jason Fluharty, Chris Holcomb, Michael Barton, Matt Barton, and Harrison Holcomb.

Honorary pallbearers are Craig Fluharty and R.J. Bessemer.

Memorials may be made to Turkeytown United Methodist Church.

The family will accept friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
