Mary Campbell

Mary Josephine Talley Campbell, born to Sally Ashley Talley and Wade F. Talley on July 23, 1920. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2011. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 5 at Parkway Community Church at 12:30 pm. Rev. Michael Hengle and Rev. Jack Campbell will be officiating. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing.

Jo was an active member of Gadsden Alliance Church, later known as Parkway Community Church, for 75 years. During those years, she was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, and served for many years as president of Alliance Women. For many years, she taught Bible Clubs with Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents, Sally and Wade Talley, her husband, Max Campbell, her son, Gregory Mason Campbell, 5 sisters, Beatrice, Bernice, Frances, Markey and Vivian.

She is survived by her sons, Max (Judy) Campbell, Huntsville, Jack (Gloria) Campbell, Gadsden and daughter, Judy (Roger) Pitts, Eastaboga. She is also survived by her grandchildren Max (Betsy) Campbell III, Pamela McCrary and Daniel Campbell; Angela Campbell, Tommy (Katherine) Campbell, Bremen, GA, and Stephen Campbell; Dale (Karen) Pitts and Mary Beth (Shannon) Caudle. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Max IV, Charles, John, Zachary, Mason, Timothy, Jonathan, Caleb, Rachel and Ava Claire. And lastly she is survived by her brothers, Rev. Wade Talley and George (Leitha) Talley.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Todd Cross, Amedysis Home Health (Michelle and Bobbie) and Northside Rehab and Nursing Home Staff.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Parkway Community Church, 223 Parkway Place, Gadsden, AL 35904

Visitation will be Monday, December 5 at Parkway Community Church (directly behind Exchange Bank Noccalula Falls) from 10:00-12:30.
