Mary H Stith

She is survived by her children, Frank Stith and wife Kim of Fort Worth, TX; Pam Stith of Auburn, AL; Paul Stith and wife Kathy of Auburn, AL; and grandchildren Carmen Johns and husband Matthew, Allison Champagne, Benjamin Stith and wife Maggie, Jonathan Stith and fiancé Casey Evans, Mary Carol Stith and Daniel Stith; and great grandchildren Hudson and Amelia Johns. As well as, beloved family members Jane Greer of Gadsden, AL; Jack and Alene Lambert of Charlotte, NC; David and Kathy Stith of Charlotte, NC; and Pat and Donna Stith of Raleigh, NC and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in Gadsden, Alabama where she met her husband, John, while she was working as a nurse caring for his mother. Following her nursing career she became a full-time mother and homemaker. During their years together, Mary worked with John in small business adventures such as selling fabric or stripping and refinishing furniture. Mary loved to sew and tackled a variety of crafting projects. Being with family for any occasion, and as often as possible, was a joy for her. She enjoyed many cruises and travel adventures with her daughter, Pam and “adopted” daughters, Pat Farrar and Vera Hern.

The service celebrating Mary’s life and home-going will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00am at the Collier Butler Chapel, with graveside services to follow.
