

Mrs. Mary Alice White was born on July 17, 1925, and passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013. Mrs. White was born in Etowah County and lived most of her life in Rainbow City. She was a member of Riddles Bend Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lamar White; parents, Frank and Ida Gray; sisters, Louise Medlin, Elzora Calhoun and Marzee Gray; brothers, Joe Gray and Ed Gray; brothers-in-law, Arthur Winningham, Terry John Calhoun Sr., and Arthur Medlin; and daughter-in-law, Ginger Baker White.She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Michael A.) Harris; sons, Trent (Vicki) White and Greg (Sue) White; grandchildren, Mandy (Travis) Trimble, P.J. Meloun, Preston Meloun, Ben Meloun, Monica Johnson, Richard White, Joel (Roo) White and Lauren Ritchie; step-grandchildren, Rachael (Gabe) Phillips, Amber (John) Evette, Zachary Harris and Megan Harris; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Winningham; sister-in-law, Marie Davis; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and special devoted caregiver, Serena Andrews.Visitation will be Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home with services to follow at 2 p.m. in the Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Harold Epperson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Harmony Cemetery with Collier-Butler directing.Pallbearers will be grandsons: P.J.
