Mary Kate Wise

Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Friday, October 6, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mary Kate Wise, of Attalla, who passed away Monday, October, 2, 2017. Rev. Eddie Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Wise was a 1956 graduate of Ashville High School. She was a longtime member of Damascus Baptist Church and retired from Attalla Healthcare in the activities department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D.C. and Ola Florence Stevenson; and brother, Charles “Chuck” Stevenson.

Mrs. Wise is survived by her husband of 60 years and 4 months: Marion T. Wise; children, Joel Wise (Terry), Lisa Pierce (Ray); Tami Meeks, and Doug Wise (Danielle); 12 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Stevenson; brothers-in-law, Fred Wise and Billy Wise; aunt; Sue Meadows; special friend, Judy Corbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Amos, Joshua Wise, Wesley McBrayer, Bobby Wise, Jeff Stevenson, and Carl Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Pat Martin and Randy Johnson.

Special thanks to Kindred Hospice and Attalla Nutrition center.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
