Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Melba Jean Burke Graham, age 57, of Attalla, AL who passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. Rev. Mel Johnson and Rev. Chase Dowdy will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Melba was a member of Stowers Hill Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Etowah High School Class of 1975 and the Etowah Blue Devils Marching Band. She was a former 27 year employee with Belk Hudson Department Store. Melba was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Graham, parents, Homer and Madge Burke and Brother-In-Law, Wendell Bolton.
Survivors include her step daughter, Kandi Graham, grandsons, Tyler and Joseph Graham, brother, Roy Burke and wife Dani, sisters, Phyllis Bowlin and husband Virgil, Joan Bolton, Nan Nelson and husband Hugh, Gwen Johnson and husband Mel, Anita Burke, uncle, Bill Burns and wife Ann, aunt, Mary Burns and numerous cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be, Tim Bowlin, Michael Bolton, Heath Bolton, Joe Don Nelson, Darrell Nelson, Mike McCullars, and Hugh Nelson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Copeland and the late Kenneth Beason.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Vance Plumb, Cardiac Team at UAB, Dr. James D. Robinson, Amy McGlaughn, Nurses and staff of Gadsden Regional Hospital, Gentiva Home Health, Amedysis Hospice and Fire Station #2, Attalla, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
