Michael D. Jones

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Mike D. Jones, age 61 of Southside who passed away Friday, February 27, 2015. Rev. Bill Drummonds will officiate. Burial will be at Williams-Southside Memorial Park. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Gadsden and graduated from Gadsden High School. He owned Pat and Mike Music for many years before joining Honda in 2004. Most recently, he enjoyed piddling with his rental properties. He spent many hours on the river and especially enjoyed coaching and supporting his grandchildren in all their sports endeavors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Opal Jones and his daughter, Jeanette Leigh Jones.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jan, sons, Phillip Jones and David (Jennifer) Jones, mother-in-law, Dean Duncan, sister, Patsy (Michael) Dail, five grandchildren, Elisabeth, Lucas, and Cole Jones, Molly Jones and Branden Stiles, several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Michael Dail, Tommy Pope, Tim McCord, Jeff Logan, Johnny Bone and Dan Levinson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Thomas Mathis, Jr., Brad Dail, Jeremy Ramsey and Co-Workers from Honda.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Andrew and Deborah Reiland, Ultra Home Health Care, Alacare Hospice and 7th Floor Staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12 p.m. until the hour of service.
