Michael grew up in Pell City, AL until his sophomore year in high school. He graduated from Southside High School, Southside, AL in 2002. He attended and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, PA in 2006. His passion was always becoming a chef. Michael was a member of Eden Westside Baptist Church in Pell City, AL. Michael was a devoted son, brother, and nephew. Anyone who was privileged enough to know him knew that he was a kind, gentle, soul and a great lover of animals especially the family pet Dachshund “Booboo,” that he loved to dress up in matching Auburn Football outfits. Michael was an avid collector of watches and lighters. Michael’s greatest love, however, was knowing his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, followed by his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by bonus brothers, Donald (Kim) Murray of Buffalo, NY and Darryl (Kristie) Murray of South Heart, ND.
He is survived by his parents, Al and Leslie Murray of Guntersville, AL; brother Brandon (Lauren) Murray of Murfreesboro, TN; bonus sister, Dawn (Jeff) Carl of Balentine, MT; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including his namesake, nephew, Carter Michael Murray.
A graveside service for the family will be held at Sonshine Memorial Gardens in Bell, FL, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
