Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, for Michael Douglas Sanford, 75, Gadsden, who passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. Don Hurst will officiate. Burial will be at Cave Springs Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Gadsden. He was devoted to his family and to Christ Jesus. Mike was a huge supporter of Shelton State Women's Basketball and a dye hard Auburn football fan.
Mike is survived by his wife, Doris Sanford; son, Michael Scot Sanford; daughter, Kelli Sanford (Ron) Tinsley; son, Christopher Lynn (Christa) Sanford; grandson, David Jacob Clayton; many grandchildren from the Witt, Helms and Heaxt families; sisters, Anne Harper, Barbara (Gerald) Light; and beloved nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
There will be no visitation.
