Mildred Manderson

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mildred Helen Manderson, 90, of Birmingham who passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015.Burial will be at Old Harmony Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Ms. Manderson loved watching life through binoculars from her 8th floor apartment and enjoyed life no matter what she was doing. She also loved ceramics, fishing and traveling to Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her son Bruce Allen Manderson, Sr.; granddaughter, Dana Manderson; Mother, Ella May Manderson; and brother, Norman Manderson.

She is survived by her grandson, Bruce Allen Manderson, Jr. his wife Pam and their children, Cloe and Hunter Manderson of Anchorage, AK; granddaughter, Noel Manderson of Fayetteville, AR; niece, Susan Manderson of Gadsden; cousin, Martha McDonald of Attalla; many friends at Highland Manor in Birmingham, where she lived for 56 years; and close friends made through the Grocery Ministry of the Baptist Church of the Covenant.

The family will accept friends from 11:30am -12:30pm Thursday prior to the service.
