Mildred J. Woods

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday-August 27, 2010 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Mildred Johnson Woods, age 89 of Gadsden who died Wednesday-August 25, 2010. Rev. Robert Thornton will officiate. Burial will be at Piedmont Memory Gardens. Graveside services will be for family only. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Woods was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and served as church secretary at Bellevue Baptist, Fairview Baptist and First Baptist Church of Piedmont. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Woods, Jr., her parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Johnson, of Centre, sister, Wilma Lacy and great grandson, Dalton Couch.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Garry) Ray

Son, John E. (Teresa) Woods

Sister, Joy Towns

Grandchildren: Tressa Patty, Tanya Kitchens, Carey Ray, Michelle Gargus, Brandon Woods, and LeAnn Rysedorph.

16 great grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Brandon Woods, Carey Ray, Glenn Kitchens, Mitch Gargus, Randy Rysedorph, Devin Ray and Austin Woods.

The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 am until the hour of service.
