Odis Levell McGuire

A graduate of Ashville High School, Class of 1967, Mr. McGuire was known for the steady diligence of a hard-working life and the deep devotion he held for those closest to him. His love for riding motorcycles and building dune buggies reflected a spirit of adventure—an enjoyment of the open road, of creating with his hands, and of living fully in the moments that mattered. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, and it was there that his presence was most deeply felt and most dearly loved.

Mr. McGuire was preceded in death by his grandparents, Audrey & Ferrell Sr. McGuire; his mother, Hazel Inez McGuire Strickland; his stepfather, James Strickland; and his siblings, Travis Lee Roamer, Lorene Stone, Ferrell McGuire Jr., Tina Hart, Jimmy McGuire and Shirley McGuire.

He is survived by his sons, David McGuire, Terry McGurie, and Aaron McGuire; and his grandchildren, Sydney McGuire, Michala McGuire, Randy McGuire, and Travis Douglas.

Pallbearers will be David McGuire, Travis Douglas, Randy McGuire, Hugh Douglas, James O'Bryant, and Jerry O'Bryant.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in the Chapel with a visitation to take place before the service from 11 AM to service time.
