Mr. Olan E. Farley

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery for Mr. Olan E. Farley, age 77, Attalla, who passed away Friday, May 14, 2010. The Rev. Bill Drummons will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing.

Mr. Farley was of the Baptist faith. He was a longtime member of Briarmead Golf Course and Gold’s Gym. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed by Republic Steel for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Rebecca Ann Farley; parents, Alton and Winnie Farley; and brothers, Jack and Ralph Farley.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wheeler Farley, son, Brian (Kaye) Farley; daughter, Stacy (Randy Maroney) Farley; grandchildren, Brian Robertson, Jon Crawford and Allison Trimble; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Vivian Mayo; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Chris) Montanari; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Mayo, James Mayo, Mark Mayo, Brian Robertson, Jon Crawford and Carson Robertson.

The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m until 2:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home
