Oscar was an active member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church. He was a lifelong gentleman farmer, a World War II Veteran, serving his country in New Guinea. He was a machine shop foreman at Brooklyn Air Force Base in his beloved Mobile.. He was an active Christian, Deacon and Teacher at Dauphinway Baptist Church in Mobile, Theodore Baptist Church and Twelfth Street Baptist Church.
He was a kind hearted person that always thought of others in his heart and actions of giving. His world began with his love of Jesus, his beloved wife and son, his family and neighbors, strangers that he met and the whole world. He was especially kind and generous to “special needs” children.
Oscar possessed a rare gift of hospitality to all people he came into contact with and he will be greatly missed.
